The Big City Social Studies is a collaboration between former teachers, teacher education professors, pre-service and in-service PD providers, and district officials who are committed to supporting teachers. We believe that teachers are caring professionals who always strive to provide young people with the best possible education they can.  

Because these are changing times and many teachers are finding creative ways of approaching what is happening in their classrooms and in the nation, we are inviting teachers to share and learn from each other about the state of their work, any local actions they have taken, and how they are looking to the future. Please join us for this National Town Hall featuring educators from across the country (Seattle, Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Knoxville) who will share their experiences, facilitate discussion, and offer some thinking for moving forward.
