Dr. Magro is a professional speaker, author, autistic self-advocate, and the autism consultant on Netflix’s Emmy-Award-Winning series Love on the Spectrum U.S. This virtual event is designed for educators, therapists, self-advocates, and family members who want to deepen their understanding of autism through insightful discussions led by Dr. Magro and other prominent voices in the autism community.
This year’s summit will feature three engaging sessions:
✅ 11:15-12:15 EST: Beyond School: Transitioning to Adulthood for Autistic Individuals – Dr. Kerry Magro will cover transition planning, IEPs, employment readiness, postsecondary education, and independent living strategies.
✅ 12:30-1:30 EST Autism Mothers Panel – A heartfelt discussion featuring Kate Swenson, Carrie Cariello, and Adrian Wood, three inspiring mothers who will share their experiences raising autistic children and offer advice on advocacy, resilience, and navigating education and therapy. 🎁 Special Offer: The first 25 U.S. residents who register and attend all three sessions will receive a signed copy of their new book Autism Out Loud (releasing April 5, 2025)!
✅ 2-3 EST: Teach The Way Our Students Learn: Inclusive Education and Curriculum Strategies – A must-attend session for educators on creating sensory-friendly, accessible learning environments using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies, peer mentoring, and classroom adaptations. 📢 Please note: This event is virtual ONLY.
